I don’t know about you, but thinking about what I’m going to make for dinner can be STRESSFUL! It never ends because every day mealtime comes around and my hungry family wants to know what we’re going to eat.

It doesn’t have to be stressful though! I have finally learned how to set up my week for success and all it takes is just one day of preparation. Here are the 3 easy steps I follow so that I’m never scrambling at mealtime:

    1. Grocery Shopping

I personally do my weekly meal planning and prep on Sundays, but you can do it whichever day works for you. My Sunday starts with grocery shopping at 7 AM! With my yummy shake in hand, I hop in my car and head out to get the food shopping done! I usually go with my mom and we both load up on all of the fresh produce, proteins, and other items we’ll need for the week. 

Sometimes, I do step 3 (meal planning) before step 1 (shopping) so that I can make my grocery list. Once I know what meals I’ll be preparing, it’s easy to make up my list of grocery items. However, you can also do it the other way around! If you do it this way, you can make sure you pick up all of the great sales at the grocery store and pick your produce based on what is freshest and most enticing. Then, simply make your meal plan based on the items you have purchased.

     2. Meal Prep with Tupperware Fridge Smarts

When I get home, after lugging my groceries inside, I get out my Tupperware Fridge Smarts. These amazing containers can extend the life of your produce 2 to 3 times longer than it would normally survive in your refrigerator. Let’s be honest, some things, like spinach, can last as little as a few days! But, with Tupperware Fridge Smarts, you can enjoy fresh, crisp greens all week! Simply stock your Tupperware with your produce and groceries. Then, check the front of your Tupperware to find out how much to open or close the vent. Finally, stack up your Tupperware and you’re set for the week!

PRO TIP: If you don’t have a lot of space in your refrigerator, remove the crisper drawer and use your Tupperware Fridge Smarts instead! They will keep your produce fresh longer than the crisper drawer. 


         3. Meal Planning

The last step to set you up for success for the week is to write out your meal plan! Simply write in each day what you plan to cook. I personally use a planner that I purchased on Amazon because it fits beautifully on my refrigerator, is easy to clean, and is accessible so that I can check it whenever I need to. Need inspiration?
