Breakfast can be a helter-skelter chaotic mess! I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel lucky if I get to enjoy my morning beverage (have you tried the arbonne fizz sticks?!) without getting up from the table 15 times, let alone eat a nutritious breakfast! Between feeding my kids and getting everyone out the door, eating a healthy breakfast can be a challenge. That’s why I love overnight oats!

Overnight oats are a true lifesaver because you can make them in the calm of the late evening when the kids are already in bed. Then, when you get up in the morning, you just grab them out of the fridge and they’re practically ready to eat! Plus, they’re SO yummy and my whole family will happily eat them. They really do help a mama take care of her health and plan ahead.

With this version of healthy overnight oats, you fill your belly with good, nutritious ingredients that will fuel you with the energy you need for the day. For example, did you know that hemp seeds are full of heart-healthy fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6? Bee pollen is another one that packs in the nutrients such as proteins, antioxidants, and vitamins. Not only that, but the protein from the nut butter or protein powder and oats will give you a serious energy boost. (Love protein? See this protein pancake recipe…yum!)

Ready for the recipe? Here we go:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 3/4 cup oat milk or almond milk
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp nut butter OR 1 Scoop of your favourite protein powder
  • 1 tsp. Paradis Valley Honey bee pollen
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. Agave, maple syrup OR Paradis Valley Honey raw honey
  • Cinnamon sprinkled on top
  • 1/2 cup of strawberries and banana

To make it, simply mix the oats, milk, nut butter OR protein, hemp hearts, bee pollen, vanilla, agave and cinnamon into a mason jar or a small Impressions Bowl

Let it sit for 8 hours or overnight in the fridge.

Serve with sliced strawberry and banana on top. Don’t forget to sprinkle some extra Paradis Valley Honey bee pollen, honey and cinnamon on top for extra goodness!
